Whitestone Contracting Ltd is an award-winning company that carries out a wide range of Construction work across Otago, Canterbury and Southland. We have depots in Cromwell, Alexandra, Twizel, Tekapo, Fairlie, Waimate, Dunedin with our head office in Oamaru.
Whitestone Contracting Ltd holds various maintenance contracts for Roading, Water and Wastewater as well as being a strong performer in the Construction/Civil, Surfacing, Landscaping and Vegetation control sectors.
We have a full-time permanent position that will join our construction team based from our Cromwell Depot. This is an exciting time for Whitestone Contracting and its team which you can be part of.
We prefer applicants to have a proven track record and relevant industry experience however the right attitude is as important. Applicants must be motivated, willing to learn and operate by our systems and procedures.
Multiskilled Operator:
- Ability to operate excavators from 1.5tn to 20tn.
- Ability to operate trucks from smaller 4×2 15tn trucks to 6×4 21tn trucks.
- Drivers licence class 2 minimum, class 4 preferred. Will assist the right candidate in obtaining class 4.
- Trailer experience and licencing preferred but not essential.
- This role will provide a wide variety of works from drainage works, roading, earthworks and subdivision works.
- This role will require the operation of other items of plant as needed so WTR endorsements would also be useful. We will assist the right candidate in obtaining these.
- We carry out a variety of works utilising our own plant and at times hired machines.
