Perched on the main high street of Karori is One Fat Bird! A local hangout for the community to catch up with friends over a few after work drinks and a great spot for dinner with the family. We have an awesome range of craft beer and delicious food!
We are looking for our next legendary Chef de Partie to join us in our mission to create awesome experiences for the Karori locals! The primary purpose of this role is to support the Head Chef and/or Sous Chef. You will be a leader, trainer and mentor to the Junior Chefs and Kitchen Hands. This is a developmental role with the aim to develop your culinary skills and help you take your career to the next level! We would love to have someone join our team that is passionate about hospitality and views the industry as their long-term career.
Are you a current visa holder? We would love to hear from you! We are happy to cover the costs of a VOC or Essential Skills visa for our successful applicant!
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years previous experience working in a busy kitchen
- Someone who loves working in a fast-paced environment and thrives under pressure
- An individual who is interested and eager to learn, improve & adjust
- Great leadership and communication skills
- The ability to deliver great food consistently to our guests
- A desire to contribute to an upbeat culture within the team
- The ability to ensure all operational processes and procedures are adhered to
- A great eye for detail
- A positive attitude towards work and passion for food and hospitality
