About the opportunity:

They are looking for a full-time ‘hands on’ experienced Manager who can competently work under pressure. Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely alongside the owner to lead, develop and cost the menu
- Develop and maintain a strong, respectful and open relationship with the business owner
- Ensure compliance of systems that have been implemented for the kitchen
- Ensure other kitchen staff know how to follow kitchen systems and ensure compliance
- Impart knowledge and training to junior kitchen staff
- Maintain a positive relationship between kitchen and front of house staff
- Having an understanding of the company’s financial systems (OBM) and how any costings that are achieved through those systems
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:
- NZ Certificate (Level 3/4) in Cookery or equivalent
- 2+ years working in a professional kitchen
- Food Safety Course within the past 3 years
- Possess budgeting and menu costing skills
- Proficient in MS Office, restaurant management software
- Reliable and flexible to change
- Great time management, customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
- Committed to team establishment and excellence
