About the opportunity:

Role description:
As the Fitter / Welder you will perform engineering fabrication and mechanical works on a wide variety of equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manufacture / fabricate components and parts to specification
- Keep equipment and work area tidy and well maintained
- Carry out all tasks / operations as directed by the relevant supervisor
- Adhere to company policies and be proactive and responsible for your own and your team’s safety
- Identify hazards prior to commencing work and uses suitable controls to eliminate, isolate, or minimize those hazards
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:
- 4+ years experience as a Fitter / Welder
- Trade certificate in Fitting and Welding, Boilermaking, or Fitting and Turning
- Knowledge of engineering maintenance practices and techniques
- Skilled with high-quality workmanship and willing to learn and upskill
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices
- Strong and proactive communication skills
