About the role
We’re looking for Care Supervisors (Snr Caregivers) to join the team at Metlifecare Heights located in Hillsborough, Auckland to provide first class care and service in our brand-new ‘state of the art’ Dementia unit. Metlifecare Heights will shortly be opening their modern dedicated 12-bed secure dementia unit within the Heights retirement village, and we are seeking House Leads (Snr Caregivers) with leadership skills and Dementia experience and/or qualifications, to join our team. On offer is 32hr and 24hr shifts working either AM, PM and Nightshifts- something for everyone, so apply today and we will fit with your availability.

- Leading and supporting a team of specialist caregivers

- Ensuring they feel safe, supported and comfortable
- Working under the guidance of our registered nurses
- Ensuring all heath guidelines are followed
About you
We are looking for someone with the leadership experience and excellent communication skills, and ideally experience working in Dementia care, who can work as part of a team to provide a high level of service. If you do not currently hold Dementia qualifications, we will support you to attain these.
- Careerforce or equivalent – Level 4 Health & Wellbeing
- Experience and/or qualifications in Dementia care
- Previous experience in aged care in a leadership role is highly beneficial
- Empathy and a love of ‘making a difference’ in our residents’ lives
