After school carer – Royal Oak, Auckland

• After school carer for two 4 & 6 year old boys – includes pickups from Kindy and school

• 2:15-5:15pm approx (3 hours/day)

Hi! Im Sacha and I’m a Mum of two boys, 6, and 4. I’m soon to be returning to full-time work, so we’re (myself and my husband, Chris) on the lookout for an after school carer. We’re after someone who can do pickups from Kindy and from primary school on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The basic run-down of what you’ll be doing would be:

2:15pm: Grab the car seats from our place, install them, give the dog a pat (we have a small, very fluffy dog) – head off to Kindy (just up the road a bit from ours).

2:40ish: Pick up 4 year old from Gardner Rd Kindergarten, head over to the primary school.

3pm: Pick up 6 year old from Three Kings School, head home.

Rest of the time: Grab the boys some afternoon tea, play with them if they’re keen – they are allowed their devices in the afternoon so that’s usually top pick, but sometimes they’d prefer to do other things like paper crafts or soccer – it’s pretty chill really! If you like video games they would be thrilled to have someone play a round of street fighter with them, or to listen while they show off their Minecraft builds. If you could load/unload the dishwasher that’d be awesome too. There’s no homework or anything at this stage (just a reading book for our 6 year old, but we’ll do that with him in the evening). Later on I’ll get home from work (5-5:30ish, traffic dependent) to do handoff. If I run late because of traffic you’ll be paid for your extra time (if I get home early you’ll still get a minimum 3 hours pay) so a wee bit of flexibility on end time would be appreciated!
