Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Nurse Coordinator – Quality role is key in ensuring the overall Nursing Quality Programme links with the CDHB and Christchurch Hospital quality initiatives. You will work across a variety of quality projects and be involved in the facilitation, planning and implementation of these projects, working closely with other members of the senior nursing team.

This is a permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week, over 3-4 days between Monday and Friday. The role is based at Christchurch Hospital in the Department of Nursing.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has a broad background in the acute medical surgical environment. You will have a passion for quality improvements, and enjoy working with people on a variety of projects.

This role requires the following:

  • Broad acute medical surgical experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Solution focused and self-directed
  • Ability to work effectively across a diverse group of people
  • Excellent organisation and time management and able to work to timeframes
  • Flexibility to work across variety of projects
  • Relevant Post Graduate qualification or working towards
  • Registered with the NZ Nursing Council and current APC
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
