GARDEN DEPARTMENT
FIXED TERM ROLES – PART TIME
Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill is a locally owned and operated company with a vision to provide outstanding customer service and great value products to our customers. Our store is a popular destination for our customers during spring & summer, and we are looking for some additional people to help us provide exceptional customer service and keep our store looking good.
We have the following fixed term positions available:
Garden Green Goods Watering:
Fixed Term role starting September 2022 running to Easter 2023
- 6 hours per week, roster pattern of 3 hours on a Monday working 6am to 9am and 3 hours on a Sunday working 7am to 10am.
- You will need to be physically fit as there is a lot of walking and standing on concrete floors as well as some manual handling to water the plants with the hose watering system.
Garden Green Goods Fill Team:
Two Fixed Term roles starting September 2022 running to Easter 2023
- Role 1: 16 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (Shifts are 4-hours per day)
- Role 2: 16 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 1.30pm – 5.30pm and Saturday 6am – 10am
- You will need to be physically fit as there is a lot of manual handling and lifting in this area
Garden Green Goods Customer Service:
Two Fixed Term roles starting October 2022 running to Easter 2023
- Role 1: 32 hours per week working Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday 9am – 5.30pm each day.
- Role 2: 18 hours per week working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am – 3.30pm each day.
- We are seeking applicants with a good level of gardening knowledge to assist our customers in all areas of the garden department.
For these positions we are looking for candidates who have:
- Enthusiasm and team spirit;
- A passion for customer service;
- Willingness to learn; and
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physically fit as there will be a significant amount of lifting, manual handling, ladder use and walking/standing/bending.
- Ideally candidates need to have a passion and knowledge of gardening.
