Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We’re looking for an International Travel and Business Coordinator to join the busy Business Support team in the Policy and Trade Branch. In this role, you’ll be providing logistical and administrative support across the branch, with a particular focus on the provision of international travel support.
The job will include working alongside our Senior International Coordinator to book flights and accommodation, and facilitate matters relating to passports, security, foreign exchange, devices, cultural protocol advice, safety and wellbeing advice, country and region risks, insurance, expenses and allowances. You will also be willing to step in to assist with other administrative tasks across the branch as the need arises.
Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako – Skills and experience
- Knowledge of international travel requirements – previous experience working in the travel industry would be an advantage
- Proven experience in the provision of logistical and administrative support
- Equipped with a strong customer focus and a very high level of attention to detail
- A solid understanding of administration, business support systems and processes
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Experience in communicating with external service providers and suppliers
- An unflappable manner with proven ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Ability to anticipate issues or problems that may arise and think of creative solutions
The role is busy and varied and no day is the same, so you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional organisational skills and worldly knowledge of international travel in order to provide ‘top notch’ support to our business.
The position could suit someone who is looking for some flexibility, so part-time or flexible hours would be considered for the right person.
