An amazing opportunity has become available for a skilled medical typist/administrator to join the
Child Development Service (CDS) at the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board. You will work alongside and provide administrative support services to our diverse, dedicated team of professionals who work with children with disabilities and their families.
We are looking for someone with several years’ experience in a similar role, ideally working in the health sector and with a knowledge of medical terminology. You will be a fast, accurate typist with good spelling and grammar, experienced in the use of Microsoft Office programmes and preferably Winscribe dictation. The workload is varied but primarily you will be typing and formatting correspondence, templates and reports for the team, as well as recording minutes of meetings, assisting with preparation of our ongoing CDS education sessions and functions and general administrative duties.
This role offers autonomy so the ability to prioritise your own workload is a must. We offer flexible hours of work which are shared with other administrative staff. We work as a tight-knit team who are supportive of each other, to achieve the best outcomes for the children and families who come under our care.
