We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Consultant to join the Patient Safety Quality Assurance Team. You will lead the development and implementation of a Fundamentals of Care community programme and support the maintenance of the inpatient programme.

This is a 0.9FTE, permanent position based at Middlemore Hospital.

The ideal candidate will need to be adaptable and influential with exceptional organising skills, and a strong attention to detail. As you will be required to connect and engage with multiple stakeholders, excellent relationship building and communication skills are required. In addition, you will have the ability to support data collection and analyse and apply information.

As part of the Directorate of Nursing and Patient Experience you will be committed to supporting nursing teams to deliver the highest possible standards of care.

Responsibilities

In this position you will:

Essential:

  • A research Master’s degree in nursing or health care related

  • A New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practising certificate

  • Hold a current Senior Nursing portfolio
  • Minimum of 5 years’ recent experience post registration
  • Must demonstrate commitment to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi, person and whaanau centred care and reducing inequities

  • Initiative to begin projects and work autonomously

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
