Harbour Hospice is the only specialist, palliative care provider for North Auckland communities. We provide compassionate, free care working primarily with patients, families and carers in their homes, and also within our three hospice sites across the region. Our bespoke services include medical care, spiritual support, counselling, social work, physiotherapy, group activities and more, with an emphasis on helping people live every moment in whatever way is important to them.

About the role
We have a variety of Registered Nurse roles available at a range of nursing levels including Clinical Nurse Specialist. As a Registered Nurse you’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and take pride in delivering holistic care to patients and their families out in the community, and /or at one of our inpatient units. You’ll provide symptom and pain management, and respite and end-of-life care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and at different stages of their disease trajectory.
We have full and part time positions available for Nurses with or without palliative care experience. Work/life balance is important to us and we’ve embraced new flexible ways of working, particularly in our community nursing roles. You’ll receive individualised training and support and be part of a down to earth, caring and friendly team environment.
About you
You will have:
- A genuine interest in palliative care and relevant nursing experience
- Commitment to achieving registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and obtaining a NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Adaptability to work collaboratively across nursing teams and locations as part of a multi-disciplinary team
