Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

This is a part time position, fixed term, 15 hours per week based in Wanaka. Our community support coordinators (CSC) ensure our community-based initiatives run smoothly, and our volunteers are well supported. This involves ensuring our volunteers are prepared, informed and feel valued and connected to our kaupapa.

He kōrero mōu | About you

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Strong relationship building capabilities, with proven experience in establishing trust and rapport with a wide range of people
  • Well established networks with extensive knowledge of the local community and a knowledge of volunteering and community work
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in written and oral presentations, influencing and conflict management
  • A focus on quality, continuous improvement and excellence
  • Drivers Licence is essential

The role works in partnership with Community Services Manager, Community Services teams, Clinical services teams, Plunket volunteers and employees to provide relevant services to help achieve Whānau Āwhina Plunket Vision and Goals
