Our multi-disciplinary Water team in Wellington works to deliver water, wastewater, stormwater, surface waters and irrigation projects both across New Zealand and internationally. The opportunity
We have a very strong forward pipeline of water projects in Wellington. This includes a wide variety of different types of projects – pump stations, pipelines, water storage and treatment – for Local and Central Government, and other clients. These projects include those in the design and construction phases, as well as assisting clients with planning works to meet the challenges of the future. To be part of our growth we are looking for a Senior Associate Project Manager to join our Wellington team both in the office and across our sites within the region. In this role, you will have the chance to:
- Lead the delivery of multiple wastewater, water and stormwater conveyance projects for our clients in the Wellington region with an emphasis on quality and service
- Act as Beca’s project manager, liaising with our regional clients and delivering effective solutions
- Help to deliver sustainable community outcomes through our projects, by focusing on aspects such as carbon reduction and reducing wider environmental impacts
- Use your strong customer relationship skills to understand our client’s core business and ensure that our services meet their expectations
- Provide technical advice to staff members, and embrace a culture that values teamwork
- Plan, assemble and manage resources to deliver your projects on time and on-budget
- See projects through from concept to client handover
About you
You will be a professionally qualified individual, with a strong track record in the successful delivery of design and construction of 3-water projects in a consulting environment. This experience will be across technical, delivery and client-facing activities and you will have the natural ability to build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside of the organisation, ultimately leading to continuing work and repeat business. If you haven’t already achieved it, we will encourage you for your professional body certification and registration.
As an successful candidate, you will have proven experience in critical infrastructure project implementation strategies, and demonstrate successful management of large multidisciplinary projects and diverse project teams.
