About the position
With business booming, on their behalf, we are on the hunt for a recently experienced Site Engineer / Surveyor who will be the interface between design and specifications and the daily work conducted onsite. No day will be the same as projects vary from major port and marina development through to launching structures.
- Assist Site Supervisor to prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor daily work activities on assigned site(s)
- Manage survey requirements for the project to ensure work on site is not delayed
- Procurement for the project monitoring usage and services
- Interact with the clients and represent them in the field
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance)
About you
- A Degree or Diploma in an engineering, surveying, construction related subject, with 2-3 years practical experience
- Competency in the use of Total Station and GPS Surveying equipment and systems
- The ability to understand and interpret engineering design documentation
- Communication skills to explain clearly and concisely the required standards and expectations
- Attention to detail
- Time management and self-organisation skills
Established in 1964 our client is a family owned and operated Marine construction company specialising in dredging. Using backhoe and cutter suction dredgers they deepen harbours; remove sedimentation and do marine excavations. Market need identified the team has now expanded into concrete pontoons, for installation in Marinas and Harbours, across New Zealand and the South Pacific.
