Can you make great pizza? Do you have an interest in plant based food? Come and join the team at NZ’s first all plant based pizza and pastaria. We are looking for a pizza chef to join our team.
Please apply if:
- You have experience or an interest in plant based food, or a willingness to learn
- Have a cooking qualification or equivalent of two years of relevant experience
- If you are currently in Wellington and have a valid working visa.
- You can plate food quickly, accurately and beautifully
- You have experience with making pizza dough and/or hand-stretching pizza dough to order, or a willingness to learn and be trained
Tasks Include:
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with managers, and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing, seasoning and cooking food
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- Contributing to menu planning, costing and portioning
- Training junior staff
- Storing food correctly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
