At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau.
We help shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. We do this by building relationships and understanding the needs of those who receive our services.

About our group and team
The People Capability team supports people leaders to build high-performing teams capable of delivering on our purpose. We provide advice and support with workforce planning, capability development, organisational design, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing, as well as everyday recruitment services and employment relations advice.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role
We continue to expand our He Putunga Pūmanawa | SAP SuccessFactors HRIS, with Employee Central Payroll soon to go live, followed by the implementation of the Recruitment and Onboarding modules. We already have implemented Employee Central. We also have a number of other People systems such as Qualtric and Orgvue..
As a Senior you will report to our People Systems Manager and be responsible for operating at a senior level in systems operations, fault resolution, efficiency optimisation, integrity and leading and assisting with ongoing enhancements of our systems. You will also work closely with our external support partner when needed.
If you are experienced in SAP SuccessFactors, Springboard, Qualtric and OrgVue then we are keen to meet you.

Mōhou ake | About you
You will bring to this role:
- Strong and demonstratable experience in the maintenance of SAP SuccessFactors | Employee Central Payroll
- Detailed configuration knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, preferably having a SAP Learning Hub Certificate in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Academy
- Experience with Integration Centre and SFTP
- A strong understanding of SAP Cloud Platform Technology
- An understanding of ITIL (IT service management framework) and how it applies to the role
- A proven ability to work as part of a team and communicate at both a general business requirement and technical level.
