Lady Wigram Retirement Village is one of Christchurch’s newest aged care facilities. A vibrant and comforting village offering a prestigious living environment, Lady Wigram offers the best of both independent and supported living. Working as part of a small and friendly team, you will get to make a difference to the people you come into contact with each day. If we could choose the perfect environment to work in, this would definitely be it!

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Administrator position is a varied and busy role offering plenty of complexity. This is a multi-faceted business with a number of entities, as well as multiple contracts servicing each area, providing a wide range of tasks to keep things interesting.

Key areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable invoicing and preparation of payment runs
  • Debtor receipting and bank reconciliations
  • Setting up new residents using MYOB
  • Answering queries from residents as they arise
  • Monitoring of invoicing for in-house services including meal packages
  • Credit card and month end reconciliations and reviews
  • Back up to weekly payroll for 100 staff using ACE Payroll and Time Target

The key to success in this role will be your ability to demonstrate previous experience in an accounts administration position including a solid understanding of the accounts payable and accounts receivable process. This is no straight data entry role and will require you to have worked in a similar role within a business with multiple entities. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems is required and knowledge of MYOB and Payroll Administration would be advantageous although not essential.

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and a warm personality. You will have a strong focus on customer service, always willing to have a chat with a passing resident no matter how busy you are and we know that takes a special kind of person!

Initial enquiries can be made by contacting Kerri Jennings at Echelon Group on kerri.jennings@echelongroup.co.nz
