Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an Administrator to join the Brian Picot Chair in Ethical Leadership (BPCEL) and Diana Unwin Chair of Restorative Justice (DUCRJ) teams on a 24-month fixed term / part time contract. The role will be responsible for providing high quality, efficient and client-focused operational and administrative support to the Brian Picot Chair in Ethical Leadership, the Chair of Restorative Justice and staff at Te Ngāpara Centre for Restorative.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take initiatives. You will thrive in this role with an excellent manner with people, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills. You will be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, who relishes working autonomously as well as contributing positively to high performing teams.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated administration experience in a similar role.
- Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Well-developed organisational abilities, demonstrating initiative in work planning activities and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint).
- Advanced skills in word processing and document layout.
- Demonstrated experience in utilising databases and information management systems.
- Technical competence in using systems and applications with a high standard of accuracy.
- Excellent client service skills.
- Proven understanding of working within a context of cultural difference and diversity.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its obligations to Māori as tangata whenua and Treaty partners.
