Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As our Applications Support Consultant – Teaching Experience, your role is to ensure that the teaching and learning experience supported systems (Moodle, Syllabus+, and more) are operational, maintained and improved to support service requests. You will provide advice that supports the strategic goals, functions and operations of the broader Digital Unit, and the University.
You will be part of the cross-functional team in supporting and improving our online learning eco-system to enhance our students’ learning experiences.
Mōu | Who You Are
As our Application Support Consultant, you will ideally have the following:
- 5-6 year’s work experience in supporting or administering large management information systems.
- Advanced skills, knowledge and experience with Microsoft Technologies, API and cloud-based services.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL skills is desirable.
- Understanding of relational databases to include some knowledge of database schemas and data definitions.
- Some knowledge and experience of tertiary education sector funding regulations and academic programmers and procedures desirable.
- A strong customer centric ethos and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in directly supporting multiple enterprise level legacy systems is required.
A passion for technology, a drive to provide great online learning experiences for students, and communication skills is key for your success in this role. You will be able to build strong relationships with a diverse range of people – from both highly technical and non-technical backgrounds. Additionally, you will have an ability to juggle multiple tasks and enjoy problem solving.

Teaching & Learning Experience is a team that supports online learning eco-system to enable the students to engage in learning, and teachers to delivery course content. We play a key role in the functional areas of Curriculum Delivery, Curriculum Improvement, and Academic Administration.
