Job Type: Art Learning Centre Art Teacher, Contract based Part-Time/casual position.

Salary: $25-29/hour with possible commission (two-week probation period)

Days and Timings: Flexible, Saturdays required

Requirement:

· Must enjoy creating quality fun filled Artwork with children

· Ability to nurture the creative environment

· Must have experience working with children ages 3-5 and/or 6-15 (Classes are grouped from ages 3-5 and 6-15)

· Hands-on Art knowledge and prior teaching experience is a must

Other requirements:

· WWCC is essential

· Teachers should have a fun filled, cheerful and creative personality

· Must have problem solving skills

· Ability to teach online when lockdown

Responsibilities:

· This position is for teaching art to children in both traditional and contemporary techniques, we train our teaching philosophy

· Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following our centre’s philosophy

· Teachers will be responsible for setup the class with required supply, teach artwork and clean-up

· Interact with parents and caregivers in person, on phone and through email about what their child has learned through a school term

· Attend teacher meetings and complete administrative tasks

· Must feel comfortable and competent working with craft materials and art supplies such as painting, drawing, G-clay modelling and mixed media etc. If you have any of these skills, please let us know in your resume.

· Teacher taking initiatives and adapting as per student need goes a long way

About You:

Candidate must be an energetic self-starter who display a professional and friendly demeanour and absolutely love children and the energy they bring. Must understand child development, teaching techniques and classroom management, curriculum development, and parent interaction. Preferably have at least 1 year experience in a group setting, or in working with school aged children. You must be comfortable in creative chaos.

· Must be able to perform basic administrative tasks

· Must be able to keep detailed records

· Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
