72 hours per fortnight (0.9 FTE)

We have a rare and amazing opportunity for a passionate Associate Clinical Nurse Manager, Pre and Post-Operative Surgery with perioperative nursing experience to join the Perioperative team at the Hawke’s Bay DHB.

We invite suitably qualified nurse leaders who are passionate about delivering high quality clinical services to apply for this role.

Your main responsibility is to actively lead and support, set and manage the direction of Pre and Postoperative Surgery in consultation with the Hospital Group Leadership Team.

You will need:

  • Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse.
  • Recent relevant perioperative experience.
  • Recent experience leading and developing teams
  • Credibility and integrity (embraces professionalism and ethical practice).
  • Ability to grasp implications of a situation quickly and is able to make effective decisions quickly.
  • Holds a current annual practising certificate as a Registered Nurse.
  • Holds a currently assessed expert level or designated senior nurse level PDRP via an approved Nursing Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP).

To be successful you will have clinical independence, be a decision maker, a problem solver and be passionate about the delivery of safe patient care.

A clinical nursing background in Pre and Post-Operative Surgery would be an advantage. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
