Salary: $62,671 – $82,299 (pro rata for the 0.9FTE role)

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We are looking for two Cardiac Physiologists to join our cardiology team. The role involves being able to perform a number of non-invasive diagnostic testing such as ECGs, ETTS and ambulatory monitoring. It will also involve working in the cardiac cath lab assisting with coronary angiograms and coronary / structural intervention including PCI, CTO, ASD/PFO closures, balloon valvuloplasty and TAVI. The ideal candidate would have experience in working independently with cardiac devices and/or electrophysiology studies. A relevant qualification, such as IBHRE (Device or EP) or CEPIA is preferable. The role will also include a rostered on call commitment.

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team

The Cardiac Physiology team is made up of 6 Cardiac Sonographers, 10 Cardiac Physiologists and 2 Clinical Physiology Technicians. We work closely as a multidisciplinary team alongside other allied health professionals, physicians, nurses, administration and support staff to provide high quality and patient-focused care. As a tertiary centre we provide elective, acute and emergency services to the local and regional population. These services include device implant and follow-up, coronary and structural intervention and electrophysiology studies.

Moū – About you

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and work well within a team environment. They must be registered with the CPRB NZ as a qualified Cardiac Physiologist.
