ABI Rehabilitation has an opportunity for a Careers Practitioner to join our progressive interdisciplinary community team. 

 

  • Do you hold full CDANZ membership?
  • Are you passionate about providing world-class rehabilitation and interested in working within our specialist brain injury service?

 

This is an exciting and dynamic position, where you will carry out occupational assessments and work-ready programmes with our clients.   You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other disciplines, including medical specialists, psychologists, and allied health providers in our community-based service across Auckland.  

 

Experience in working under ACC’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service and Independent Occupational Assessment contract, or working with Career Development Services is desirable but not essential.   Postgraduate qualifications in vocational rehabilitation will also be advantageous. 

 

You will be supported to develop any skills needed to excel in this role and well as given opportunities to utilise your existing specialist skills.

We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and an accredited provider of post-acute, residential, and community-based rehabilitation for clients with traumatic brain injury.

 

Our community service provides end-to-end rehabilitation including Concussion Services, Training for Independence, Assessment and Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  We link with our TBI inpatient facility to provide a seamless transition for clients returning to living and working in the community.  We see our client’s at home, workplace, school, and clinic-based settings. We have a strong client and family/whanau focus.
