Building Service Contractors of NZ (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the NZ Cleaning industry – we represent many employers who require the services of Commercial Cleaners throughout NZ.
You will be employed directly by one of our members who will provide you with an Employment Agreement, the required tools of trade required to fulfil this role
Short Description
Cleaners provide a range of cleaning services to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene while presenting a professional and safe environment for all. This role will be based in the Wellington/Porirua covering a number of sites
Shift Details
- Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri
- 6am start
- Thursday
- 4 am start
- 30 hours per week
You must be available for every shift
Responsibilities include
- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping
- Rest rooms (yes that’s toilets)
- Buffing/ polishing
- Windows
- Rubbish removal
- Surface wiping, dusting
- Specialist cleans
You will ideally have
- Commercial cleaning experience
- Strong health and safety focus
- A can-do attitude.
- A FULL driver’s licence is preferred
- No criminal convictions
- Comfortable working alone
- You must be able to speak and understand English to a good level, as all H&S and instructions are in English only
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to work as part of a great team, unsupervised
- Strong attention to detail
- Focus on customer service and delivery of outcomes
- Personal drive to do your best work!
- Fit and healthy and cleaning is manual work and you will be required to stand for the entire shift.
- Willingness to carry out all relevant screening requirements prior to and during employment, this will include COVID vaccination and regular testing
