We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic NZ Registered Dietitian to join our supportive and friendly team of Dietitians.

The successful applicant will be based in Taranaki and one of the core functions of this role will be to be involved in the bowel screening programme in Taranaki. This will be to support pre-operative assessment and intervention, as well as conservative outpatient intervention as required for ‘clear screen’ patients. This will be at both Base and Hawera Hospitals.

We are looking for a Dietitian that has excellent time management and communication skills, is self-motivated and has proficiency in computer skills.

Current staff comprises 4.7FTE full & part-time working across the Taranaki region caring for hospital inpatients and outpatient clinics.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Current practice registration with the NZ Dietitians Board
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years previous clinical and generalist experience
  • A commitment to achieving health equity for Maori
  • Endorsed scope of practice as a Dietitian Prescriber.
