Community Speech-Language Therapist – Auckland

ABI Rehabilitation has an opportunity for a Speech-Language Therapist with a particular interest in brain injury and experience in neurorehabilitation to join our progressive interdisciplinary team.
We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and an accredited provider of post-acute residential, and community-based rehabilitation for adult and paediatric clients with Acquired Brain Injury.
The role includes providing Speech-Language Therapy input within the Auckland community team. You would be working in a supportive MDT team environment alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians, registered nurses and social workers. Key clinical roles include assessment and rehabilitation of clients with traumatic brain injury to facilitate return to pre-injury roles and activities. We are a community-based service, visiting our clients at home and in other community settings. The majority of our clients are adults and our approach is to form a client-centred partnership.
The successful applicant will be a New Zealand registered Speech-language Therapist. You will have a Bachelor of Speech-Language Therapy (or equivalent), a minimum of two years post-graduate experience and at least one year of experience working with clients who have neurological impairments or advanced practice and experience in a rehabilitation setting.
This role is a full-time position however consideration would also be given to therapists able to work part-time.
