Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Integration Data Engineer is responsible for designing, creating and maintaining business events in UC’s event-streaming data integration hub, as well as maintaining and looking to replace legacy batch driven integration. You will be responsible for the events’ full product cycle from liaising and understanding system integration requirements, designing, building, testing, maintaining and optimising data integration patterns, as well as contributing to UC’s overall integration architecture.
UC collects data from many source systems (Staff, Students, Courses, Finance, Facilities) into a well-governed central data integration hub, from where many consumer systems can subscribe to receive regular updates. By expanding UC’s data integration platform you will ensure that UC has a well-designed ecosystem that supports our diverse data needs into the future.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have at least 5 years experience in integration platforms or similar IT areas. You are well versed in integration patterns, including event and batch driven integration processes and have experience in the administration of data integration tools.
You will have worked with Cloud computing tools, Microsoft Azure in particular is a plus and Amazon or Google are also good. You will be able to demonstrate experience with creating both On-premise and Cloud integration solutions and a solid knowledge of programming languages, such as: SQL, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
You will work well within your team and across functional teams, communicating effectively what you have designed and delivered.
