Hours: Permanent, Part-time: Minimum Guaranteed Hours 3 per week

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to support a child/children with disabilities in their local early childhood centre setting. The role provides educational input which fosters the child’s/children’s development, learning and inclusion within the centre. The role will also support the transition to primary school.

To be appointed the successful candidate will have –

  • Initiative, be reliable and flexible.
  • A positive attitude and a talent for developing supportive interactions.
  • The ability to relate well to a diverse range of people.
  • Understanding of the development of children and the way in which they relate to others
  • Experience working with disabled children, their family/whanau would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong connections to the community.
  • Can work positively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
