About the role:
You will be supported by the wider team and be given the autonomy to use your initiative and challenge the status quo whilst ensuring exceptional manufacturing and product delivery to our customers.
Key responsibilities:
· Ensure a focus on health and safety throughout the factory to provide a safe place to work;
· Lead the preparation of monthly and annual production plans by product category;
· Achieve or exceed daily and weekly production plans;
· Work collaboratively with the team to ensure products are manufactured to required quality standards;
· Lead, motivate and develop (upskill) both processing and assembly teams;
· Coordinate with the Factory Supervisor to “drive” Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Cost;
· Track plant production plans and strive to consistently deliver on agreed targets including DIFOT;
· This is also a hands-on role;
· Maintain key relationships with the site management team;
· Prepare daily and end-of-week production reports for the management team.
About you:
· Process-driven, with the ability to manage both systems and people;
· Minimum three (3) years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment ; pallet and/or timber experience is preferred, but not essential;
· You’ll have a customer-centric mindset, demonstrated influencing and management skills, strength of character and a strong, credible track record of delivery and excellence in execution are essential;
· Clear and concise communication skills;
· Oversee production planning and inventory control (work in-progress, feedstocks and finished goods);
· Innovative thinking with the ability to improve on process performance;
· Good Health and Safety knowledge.
This is currently a Monday to Friday position; some Saturday work maybe required in the peak season.
