Beach Babylon is a Wellington icon, a busy cafe and restaurant on Oriental Parade, going strong 13 years on. We are looking for an experienced full time chef, that could be trained to fill a sous chef opening and a part-time chef to join our team. Good pay for good applicants with the opportunity to develop your skills and gain responsibility. We are a great place to work with a regular roster in place and consistent hours available, your hours and shifts are completely negotiable, we can work around our employees schedules. Pay will be based on experience.
We need a part-time chef who:
- has a cookery qualification
- has at least 1-2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen
- is reliable and punctual
- has a good work ethic
- can work as part of a team
We need a senior chef with potentially a sous chef opportunity who:
- has a cookery qualification and is passionate about serving good food
- has at least 3 years experience working in a commercial kitchen
- is reliable and punctual
- has a good work ethic and can motivate others
- can manage staff
- has good organisational and problems skills and can apply these to ordering, menus, staffing situations, stock management etc.
