Location: Hutt Hospital – Radiology Department
Contract: Permanent Full and part time
Hours: Full or 24 per week (0.6 FTE) – Some weekends and no nights.
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Our Radiology Department serves the population of the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa District Health Boards. We receive a wide variety of clinical referrers, including regional plastic surgery and Rheumatology services as well as referrals from 2 emergency departments. We provide x-rays, ultrasounds, MRI and CT scans.
Our Health Care Assistants work in supportive team environment, with nurses and Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs) to provide safe, efficient and effective care. You will find working in our team is diverse, challenging and rewarding. The role comprises a variety of tasks, including:
- Patient care / Chaperone * Preparing and clearing clinic rooms * Booking in patients * Checking / scanning worksheets * Restocking supplies and linen If you are passionate about caring for people and would like to work in a safe, supportive and exciting environment, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you.
