Duties for Housekeeping / Laundry Aides:
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times
- Dust mopping and damp mopping floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms including sinks and commodes
- Responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, stacking, and distributing linens and personal laundry
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, lobbies, sitting, office, dining areas, and all furniture
- Collecting trash from the units and for the proper disposal of the trash in an outside container
Qualifications for Housekeeping / Laundry Aides:
- Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings, and labels
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Adequate strength and endurance to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as loading and unloading washers and dryers; coordination necessary to fold clothing items and linen
- Color vision to ascertain stains and separate colored garments from white
