Injury Prevention Specialist – Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing – Wellington City, Wellington

About the role:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Occupational Health Nurse who is motivated, passionate and keen to be involved in workplace health and wellbeing.

Ideally you will be someone who thrives in the injury prevention space and enjoys helping people prevent, reduce and eliminate pain and discomfort through assessing individuals’ ergonomic workstations. You will also have confidence, excellent people and facilitation skills to successfully deliver our SafeSpine Injury Prevention Programme, Functional Movement Screening, Job Task Analysis and Manual Handling workshops. These are delivered mostly onsite with some being delivered virtually, therefore you must be confident with technology.

We are searching for someone who has great time management, is flexible and capable of working autonomously to achieve specific timeframes. The workload does vary from week to week, which means this role would compliment another part time role.

Skills and Experience

• Must have a relevant degree in the health sector.
• Ideally have experience in providing ergonomic workstation assessments, manual handling, job task analysis, functional movement screening and facilitating workshops.
• Naturally talented at presenting and engaging with small to medium sized groups.
• Excellent people skills with a confident, friendly and proactive approach.
• Can communicate at all levels within corporate environments.
• Genuinely passionate about preventative health care with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
• Can work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Must have sound computer skills and is savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams &/or Zoom (sometimes services are delivered virtually).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
