About the role

As the School continues an exciting phase of growth, we are looking for capable and motivated academics to build upon the discipline’s research agenda. We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Course Director), to contribute to high quality teaching within the Property Economics and related programs. You will be working cooperatively with others across the School and Faculty; exploring and leveraging their ideas, opinions and involvement to further develop the participative, empowered environment in the School, pertaining to teaching-learning, research and engagement.

The Senior Lecturer role offers a leadership opportunity as Course Director of the Property Economics Program, crafting the future of this exceptional program to make a significant contribution to the national and international property environment. Together with the School Executives, you will refine and further extend the Property Economics program in line with professional body requirements, current market needs, enhanced student experience objectives and global trends. You will also contribute to the research agenda of the school through collaborations with others and lead your own research teams, actively presenting ongoing research to the Faculty and School and fostering productive links with other scholars on the global stage.

About you

You will have excellent communications and interpersonal skill with have demonstrated experience teaching at university level. You also have proven experience in developing high quality curricula at an undergraduate level. You will also have:

  • PhD in a Built Environment Discipline
  • Professional experience in Property Economics and knowledge of Valuation Practice, Property Management; Property and Construction Law; Property Economics.
  • An established publication record.


Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $110,378 to $130,639 pa (Level B) / $134,178 to $154,093 pa (Level C). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time role and will be made on a continuing basis.
