The Porirua Community Ministries provides culturally appropriate and holistic services within the community, addressing the social, spiritual, emotional and physical needs of people.
About the role – job description
The Life skills facilitator is primarily responsible for the development and facilitation of life skill groups held at the Porirua Worship and Community Centre. The aim is to guide and support people with tools and relevant networks to support an improved quality of life. These could include, but are not limited to, finding suitable employment teaching CV, cover letter and interview readiness, general budgeting skills, goal setting, organisation skills or maintaining a work/life balance.
Key tasks include the following:
- Establish and grow networks to build an awareness of the service within the community
- Group facilitation
- Ability to relate and work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- Creative thinking for effective programme development
