The key function of this role is to manage maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth operation for our Feed Mill Operators, maximising efficiency and safety and minimising downtime.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Manage preventative, planned and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Have a background in mechanical engineering, preferably with farming and/or feed milling equipment.
- Work on and with a variety of equipment e.g augers, hammer and roller mills, pelleting presses, pressure pumps, pneumatics, compressors and valves.
- Use your fabrication and welding (MIG) skills to create solutions.
- Process automation and updating of the plant.
- Need to be available for call outs and break down repairs.
- Be flexible to respond to production requirements.
A forklift license will be advantageous, but we’re happy to train the successful candidate.
The role is Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required for planned maintenance or call out for break down repairs.
