ABI Rehabilitation is the specialist provider of intensive brain injury rehabilitation for 90% of the population of New Zealand, serving 18 of the 20 DHBs. We are the only provider in Australasia to have attained CARF Accreditation, an international gold standard for person-centred quality rehabilitation.
We have a full-time position available for a dedicated Neuro/Clinical Psychologist to join our progressive interdisciplinary team in the in-patient intensive rehabilitation service. This is an exciting opportunity to experience a varied caseload and contribute to key clinical areas including neuropsychological assessment, behaviour management, emotional adjustment for clients and families, rehabilitation planning, implementation and evaluation of these plans and ongoing training and development of our staff.
ABI Rehabilitation has a strong research base and has a formal MoU with AUT University, also working closely with three other Universities in New Zealand. There are opportunities to engage in a number of research projects that require clinical input from our therapy team.

A minimum of two years of experience working in neurological rehabilitation is preferred, however, open to all candidates based on experience. Must have registration in Clinical Psychology and/or Neuropsychology from NZ Psychology Board and be eligible for membership of NZCCP and or NZ Psychology Society. Post-graduate papers in Neuropsychology would also be an advantage.
