As a Processing Officer you are critical in making sure all mail, packets and parcels get to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the parcels and mail are sorted, processed and dispatched correctly and that our customers receive it for delivery on time. As a Processing Officer in the Wellington Mail Centre Box Lobby, your role will include excellent customer service, greeting and helping customers with their mail and parcels. This is a contract position until October 2022 and offering 15 hours/week where you will need to be available to work Monday, Wednesday to Saturday mornings from 4.00am to 7.00am
In this dynamic job you will:
- Sort our customer’s parcels and email based in our Wellington Mail Centre Box Lobby
- Dispatch correctly to our customers to ensure they can deliver on time
- Handle freight in a careful and professional manner
- Liaise with various internal contacts to solve problems and raise issues where required
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Be ready for a physically demanding role – heavy lifting is required
- Be customer focused
- Be a committed teammate who puts customers first
- Enjoy working hard and be confident managing your time
- Have an accurate eye for detail
- Have good geographical knowledge of the Wellington region
