Our vibrant team in Produce are looking to recruit two part time Product Assistants. Come and see what the team at PAK’nSAVE Tamatea are all about.


The role;

Our Produce department is the first fresh foods department the customer reaches when they come through our doors. We want to impress our customers with exciting visual displays of fresh, colourful and seasonal produce!

Produce staff spend a lot of time on the retail floor ensuring the shelves and displays are kept topped up throughout the day. Therefore, it is really important that the staff we have in the Produce department love to work in a customer facing role. It’s a busy role that involves lots of customer interaction, as well as a lot of physical lifting and moving of boxes and crates.

You’ll spend part of each shift rotating stock to ensure we are providing the freshest produce to our customers. The role also involves going in and out of the chiller, completing stock takes, ensuring weekly specials are clearly identified, and of course, providing outstanding customer service.

We have two part time positions working 29 and 26 hours per week on the following rosters:


Role 1 – 29 hours per week

Monday 12.00pm – 8.30pm

Tuesday 2.30pm – 8.30pm

Wednesday 4.30pm – 8.30pm

Thursday 2.30pm – 8.30pm

Friday and Saturday – Rostered days off

Sunday 2.30pm – 9pm


Role 2 – 26 hours per week

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – Rostered days off

Wednesday 12pm – 7.30pm

Thursday 1.30pm – 7.30pm

Friday 2.30pm – 9pm

Saturday 11.30am – 7.30pm

About you

Previous experience working with produce is not required for this role. What is important is that you possess a passion for fresh food, continuous learning, and providing excellent service to all our customers. Can you demonstrate initiative, team spirit, and a positive attitude with loads of enthusiasm?! If so, we want to hear from you!

It is essential that you are physically able to meet the demands of the role, reliable, have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and have the right to work in New Zealand.
