Our client is a locally owned and operated essential service located within 5km of Wellington’s CBD. They’re famous for their extensive product range and outstanding staff who provide all shoppers outstanding customer service day in and day out.
What’s the job?
This is a FRESH new role for a Produce Assistant in a full time frontline customer service role. The hours vary but opening hours are 7am – 10pm and will work on a Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday roster. Assistant roles start at $21.75 per hour with plenty of room for growth. Reporting to the Produce Manager your primary responsibilities will include
•Packing and presenting merchandise
•Checking all displayed prices are correct
•Ensuring all produce is attractively presented at all times
•Assisting in loading and unloading trucks
•Providing top notch customer service
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will be physically fit as this role does require some lifting, have a great command of both written and verbal English and good basic maths skills. Experience within a supermarket or in food service would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. You’ll be pro-active, reliable and have a strong work ethic and be flexible with your availability. We’d love this role to move into a 2IC position quickly, so a quick learner with a desire to expand their skillset and further their career would stand out!
