About us/Mō mātou
The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages.
The role/Te mahi
In this Professional Practice Fellow role you will support teaching, clinical skills demonstrating, and clinical supervision primarily at the undergraduate level, including the area of physical activity in physiotherapy practice.
Duties include preparation, assessment, and teaching, as well as paper administration duties, under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery.
You will also carry out administration responsibilities and contribute to the School’s academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in a professional discipline.
Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
- Teaching or clinical supervision experience.
- Clinical experience across a broad spectrum including the area of physical activity of physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent administration and communication skills.
- A relevant Master’s degree is desirable.
- Evidence of an ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels of the institution.
- A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and to equal opportunity.
Essential:
- You must hold registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board.
- You must have a full New Zealand driver’s license.
- You must be compliant with the Vulnerable Children’s Act.
- You must be compliant with current Ministry of Health mandated requirements.

This is a part-time (0.5FTE), fixed term position for 18 months.
