About the opportunity:

They are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead the delivery of Freeze Dryers that they export globally. This is an opportunity to lead projects and a team of highly experienced engineers in a niche market with ongoing, strong demand.
Role description:
This is a key co-ordination role that will see you planning new projects, leading procurement, supervising commissioning engineers, producing work-scopes and managing subcontractors. This includes remote management of on-site work and commissioning in varying locations throughout the world.
Responsibilities will include:

Responsible for project budget, schedule, HSE and quality
-
Identify and manage any project risks
-
Supervise commissioning engineers
-
Manage procurement, logistics and resource allocation to meet timelines
-
Provide technical guidance to projects and input to capacity plans
-
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project deadlines
-
Technical support for manufacturing, machinery development and quality systems
-
Support existing customers with maintenance requirements
Key skills / requirements:
-
10 years experience with projects / engineering
-
Preferably tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Refrigeration
-
Background in engineering manufacturing would be an advantage
-
Demonstrated project delivery of $M projects
-
Effective negotiation skills and fact based decision making skills
-
Strong project / people management skills for team motivation and productivity
-
Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
