Are you an energetic and innovative Health or Clinical Psychologist? We have a great opportunity for you to join a friendly and supportive team! You will primarily be working within our Bariatric Surgical Team; however you may also have the chance to work with the wider general surgical team in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term, part-time position (16 hours per week) on Wednesdays and Fridays and is based across 2 locations; Auckland City Hospital & Greenlane Clinical Centre. Working arrangements can be discussed at interview.
Working for the bariatric service you will provide assessment and support of the psychological needs of patients at various stages of their assessment, treatment and follow-up. Prior experience in the bariatric service would be beneficial.
To be considered for this great opportunity you should be currently registered to practice in New Zealand as a psychologist under the clinical or general scope and have a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Previous experience in Physical Health is desired and your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will be able to shine in this position. You also get the best of both worlds as you will be an integral team member but you will also be able to work autonomously.
