You will be helping in various roles from admin/ front desk roles, to cleaning and assisting with classes. You will also be promoting kickboxing, and helping new people with the basics.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating the front desk using our gym management software. Admin duties, selling memberships and gear
- Taking feedback from members and using it to keep improving our services.
- Cleaning. Sweeping and mopping the floors and cleaning the bathrooms as well as tidying and wiping down equipment. The gym is like a second home to us, so we want to keep it clean for everyone!
- Assisting with teaching – we are looking for physically fit outgoing people who can assist with teaching people basic Thai Boxing skills.
- Assisting with kids classes and online classes
At the moment- the following shifts are available
- Evening (starting at 4pm to 9pm)
- Weekend mornings
We are looking for individuals who can commit at least six hours a week, however we are flexible and can offer more than this for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- At least one year experience in customer service based roles OR work experience in a gym
- Kickboxing experience – as you will be promoting kickboxing, we want you to get involved with the sport
- Ability to adapt to new programs – we use technology to make our job easier!
- An interest or qualification in the fitness industry or teaching experience.
- Patience and sense of humour – you will be helping people who may get frustrated if they can’t get the moves right!
- A people person – as you will be the first person who people encounter when they walk into our gym and we want your enthusiasm for the sport to be contagious!
- Current work references for the relevant experience
You will also have good attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and manage time well and will be hard working and honest. Has good communication skills to be able to follow instruction. Shifts can finish late/start early so someone staying close to the city centre would be preferable. We are looking for someone who can commit to the role for at least 6 months .
