Ideally candidates would have strong skills and experience in the following areas:
- A background in sports administration.
- An understanding of the game of rugby and the Laws of the Game.
- Proven relationship management and organisational skills.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to facilitate the training of referees, coaches, and referee coaches.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience and success in the delivery of training workshops.
- A solid understanding of the club and school rugby environment.
- Competent computer skills.
This role would suit someone with education in Sports Management, Teaching or Coaching. We are looking for a person who has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, with an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to team work and problem solving. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours and travel throughout the Southland region.
Southland Rugby is the guardian of our national provincial team, The Southland Stags, as well as developing community rugby in the Southland region.
