About the role

If you are an experienced Team Administrator, with exceptional communication and organisational skills, looking for an opportunity that allows you to exercise your own initiative and judgement, with a company committed to making a real difference in the lives of people with a disability, this could be the role for you!
This is a full-time role, in which you will provide a wide range of administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the Research Institute

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of conference attendance, hotel bookings and liaison with conference organisers;
  • Develop and maintenance Research Institute documentation including registers of research activities and outputs i.e. Endnote libraries and publication registers, grants, presentations, conferences, postgraduate research students (full training provided)
  • Maintain a central repository of up to date documentation, including resumes, relating to research team members
  • Support the maintenance of accurate academic profiles for the Research Institute in online platforms including Sapphire, ResearchGate, ORCID, Web Profiles e.g. University and CPA websites (full training provided)
  • Undertake the processing of invoices, staff/student reimbursements, travel-related paperwork
  • Office management activities, including monitoring of supplies, stationery orders, and ensure WHS compliance is maintained for the safe, smooth day to day running of the office.

To be successful you will need:

  • A degree or diploma, and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience, ideally in a similar administrative position in an academic, research or medical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support with the ability to work well under pressure with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds and seniority.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a capacity to meet deadlines and manage workloads.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (including PowerPoint and Excel), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom and demonstrated ability to learn, implement and promote new systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
  • A current WWCC and National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role.

Licenses/certifications required:

  • NSW Driver’s License (minimum P2)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role)
  • Current First Aid and Current CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role)
  • Current WWCC (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role).
