The Company
Edutemps are excited to be partnering with a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO). A well known RTO that sees education as an enabler to advance your career and open up pathways to new and exciting employment opportunities by providing training courses from short courses up to diploma level.
The Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant Student Liason Officer to join their team. The role of the Student Liaison Officer is to provide timely and accurate support to students, ensure student progression, respond to student enquiries and provide quality student support services that address the needs of their students. The key to your success will be your ability to develop relationships with students to promote engagement and successful completion of the chosen course.
The Student Liason Officer is a full-time, ongoing office base position in Baulkham Hills, North-West Sydney. The Norwest Station is nearby, within walking distance. Parking onsite is also available if you wish to drive.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Phone and email enquiry management
- Provide support to all students to ensure ongoing interaction and engagement with trainers
- Ensure attendance sheets are compliant and received promptly, and manage non-attendance
- Attend Job Ready courses as needed, and assist with resumes, interview skills and job placement
- Organise catch up classes if and when required
- Follow up on students falling behind to help support them in their studies online and distance
- Releasing online students next units if applicable
- Calling to get students to commence their studies online
- Follow up with students for missing documents
- Act on feedback from students
The Successful Candidate
- Experience working with domestic students in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Previous administration experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Attention to Detail
- Good Customer Service skills
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proactive and able to use initiative
- Ability to follow up on students that require support
Desirable
- Experience using VETtrak Student Management System
