We’re looking for three enthusiastic and reliable Sample Preparation Assistants to join the team at Analytical Research Laboratories (ARL), Ravensdown’s Napier based laboratory, on a fixed-term, part-time basis. These roles will provide support during our busy season between June and Mid October 2022. ARL provides soil, plant, feed quality, water and fertiliser testing for customers all over the country.
About the Role
In this role you will prepare soil and plant tissue samples by sorting milling and dispensing samples to support the services we offer our customers. The hours will be between 9am and 2pm, working approximately 25 hours per week Monday to Friday. Please note there is some flexibility on start and end times, but we need people who can consistently come in each day over this period.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail whilst performing repetitive tasks
- A reasonable degree of physical fitness as the role requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a team as well as unsupervised
- Maturity, and most importantly a happy and positive outlook
