Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Administrator to join our Academic Registry Services Team. This is a permanent full time position in the team that is central to our students’ achievements towards graduation, and is based at our Lower Hutt campus.
In this role, you will support the administration of a range of academic matters, including credit recognition, reporting and issuing awards and qualifications, as well as leading aspects of the planning and organisation of our annual Graduation ceremonies around NZ. You will also assist the Academic Registrar with advice on queries, requests, interpretations and other matters related to compliance with the Academic Statute and rules and regulations.
The Academic Registry team manages the systems and processes for student admission, assessment, awards and qualifications and student information. The Registry team also administers and maintains quality reporting systems for internal/external clients and stakeholders, such as The Ministry of Education, the Tertiary Education Commission and NZQA.
The ideal candidate will have
- previous experience interpreting and applying statutory regulations
- high level of judgement, flexibility, problem solving , self-motivation and responsiveness
- an ability to gather, process, interpret, analyse and present data
- high level of communication skills, both oral and written
- an ability to maintain confidentiality appropriate to the work
- experience in event planning, setting up and implementing processes
- excellent database management and Microsoft Office skills
- the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
